RA Sushi Bar Restaurant is located at 1080 Peachtree St. Atlanta, Ga in Midtown. This restaurant is the perfect summer spot. It is completely open to outside. The bar is half way inside and halfway outside. the bar has a very trendy sculpture above it that makes it the focal point of the restaurant. When we visited, we were able to get the private room which was awesome! You felt privacy but also felt like you were a part of the restaurant. it had a large table that fit ten people and had a flat screen also. RA was filled with awesome sculptures, light fixtures, and amazing artwork on the walls.
Though sushi is RA's main focal point, their menu contains many other items for those non sushi lovers. As far as sushi goes, it is some of the best I have ever had! There are too many rolls to count. For drinks, I chose a margarita because it was their drink special for the day! My thoughts on the margarita were mostly good. Their drinks are very strong which I like! The only issue was the size. They were on special for $6 I feel like the drink should have been a little bit bigger, but being in Midtown I know that is hard to find. One of their most popular drinks that we saw on most tables was the Umami Punch served in a fishbowl style glass. Its a 60 ounce blend of Svedka Vodka, Southern Comfort, Disaronno, Cold Sake and Tropical Juices. Their drink menu is very unique!
Now for the rolls, we started of with an assortment of rolls on a platter which ranged from spicy tuna, california rolls, spicy salmon and a mix of different nigiri. We then tried the Hot Mess Appetizer which is a fried balls of rice topped with spicy king crab mix. Very unique and yummy! After we got a few more rolls our favorite was the Viva Las Vegas Roll (featured on the right in the second picture below). This roll was crab and cream cheese rolled in rice and seaweed which is lightly battered in tempura and topped with spicy tuna, crab mix and sliced lotus root with a sweet eel sauce and spinach tempura bits. I highly recommend! We also tried the Tunacado Appetizer which was seared ahi tuna and avocado. Very refreshing and light. Over all I give this restaurant a lot of praise. I am happy to find a new favorite sushi restaurant in Atlanta!
